I have been on the faculty of a Gestalt Institute since 2004, and on the faculty of Gestalt Therapy Brisbane for the past ten years. That is honed in the bone walking the talk. I am grateful for how this teaching environment keeps me close to the latest developments within contemporary psychotherapy, and demands that my practice hold up under the scrutiny of well-educated peers and students. I am grateful for how my colleagues and I investigate the philosophical underpinnings of our Gestalt theory and continue to evolve more congruent practice and theory. My colleagues have been my greatest teachers.

I was very blessed to spend 15 years at an extraordinary University of the Arts in Amsterdam Holland. A world leader in somatic research, innovative approaches to body systems, movement education, and performance practice. The research, experimentation and training we conducted there was years ahead of its time, and our praxis is only now gaining recognition in the current neuroscience influences within psychotherapy. These years were the most formative in my teaching career, and the sophisticated knowledge I gained of subtle body process remains the foundation of everything else I do.

I taught at the California Institute of Integral Studies for three years in the MA and PH.D programs of the Philosophy and Religion Department. CIIS is a prestigious and innovative university whose teaching faculty number many current world leaders in progressive education. Honoured to be invited to teach there, I regard those years there as highly influential in my teaching career, a time that generated a new synthesis in my work as an artist and educator.

For many years I taught on small teaching tours in Europe, the USA and Australasia. Highlights of my professional trainings include for the Centre for Culture and Communication Shanghai; Movement Research, New York; Victoria College of the Arts, Melbourne; Tanzfabriek, Berlin; Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland; Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane; University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba; Brisbane Gestalt Institute, East Coast Gestalt Institute, Sydney and Northern Rivers.

I have enjoyed facilitating for corporate team building trainings, professional associations, and residential retreats in diverse settings including for local shire councils, GANZ conference presentations, mental health and disability services residential workshops. I have been hosted as a guest presenter in countless smaller venues where I got to interact and exchange with many vibrant communities. Each one unique, each one touching my heart and lighting my fire.
