As a performance artist and choreographer I seek to experience and share the beauty and power of the body's truth, weaving vulnerability and strength into a theatre of visual metaphors. My process begins in the intimacy of my body's experience, the laboratory of blood and bone, electricity and chemistry. I seek to uncover the imagery within the visceral power of motion, moving from the deeply personal to transpersonal patterns and motifs. All my work integrates dance, music, text, storytelling and ritual in visionary environments. I see the performance process as a journey for the public where the empathy of the audience engenders a sense of the sacred for us all. I ask of myself, and my performers alike, a radical investigation and immersion into the forces and states of nature.
